Diese ist im Gegensatz zur europäischen Fichte viel resistenter gegen Blauschimmel und andere Pilze, so dass die Kesseldruckimprägnierung nicht sein muss. Zum anderen Werden alle Spielhäuser und anderen Holz-Spielgeräte bereits ab Werk mit einer ungefährlichen Lasur eingestrichen. Diese gibt den Spielhäusern ihre Typische Farbgebung. Hell- und Dunkelbraun, gepaart mit einem satten Grasgrün ergeben eine wunderschön natürlich wirkende Farbgebung, die nicht nur den Kindern sofort gefällt.
Insbesondere die vielen Raffinessen im Detail zeugen von Ideenreichtum bei der Fertigung. Fenster sind so gefertigt, dass wenn sie geschlossen werden, keine kleinen Kinderfinger einklemmen können. Aber auch die Art und Weise, wie die verschiedenen, ab Werk vorgefertigten Hauselemente mit wenigen Schrauben sehr einfach zusammengeschraubt werden, sucht seinesgleichen. Selbst da werden die meisten handelsüblichen Spielhäuschen aus den heimischen Baumärkten im Regen stehen gelassen.
